ellington sleeps by dreams without end
Noted for his inventive use of the orchestra, or big band, and for his eloquence and charisma, Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington's reputation continued to rise long after his death in 1974 following an illustrious and prolific career. He was truly a genius in the sense of instrument combinations, arranging jazz and improvising music that made him stand unique among other composers of his time.
Sampling parts of his recordings and molding them into slower, sleep inducing loops is yet another way to appreciate his craft. Such manipulations actually morph his music into into a new form of trippy jazz.
