David Fortier and Elizabeth Levett met in 1988. (She lied to him to get him in her band.) They formed Voodoo Motel, got married, and played the SF clubs. After disbanding, the Fortiers started collaborating with music pals in the city doing a few projects. They teamed up with drummer, Robert J Duarte in the late 90's and have been working as a trio with David and Elizabeth writing the songs.
