Familiar Souls by Dr. C and the White Magic Band

You could say this music CD has been 40 years in the making. As an elementary school teacher in 1971, I determined that making music with my young charges would require an instrument that kept my speaking voice clear. The guitar was an obvious choice. I quickly learned that I could create with the instrument, and a string of children's songs soon followed. Creating songs has been a part of my life ever since--some personal, some for whimsy and more recently observations of life.

Special thanks to my brother, Art, and my friend in Germany, Dirik, for critiquing each of the songs on this CD and pulling no punches in making suggestions for their development; my son, Matthew, for adding his deep harmonies on a couple of the songs; my wife, Valerie, for her love and patience with my music; and, finally Andy White, my producer, collaborator and do-everything musician, who has made my mental visions come to life.
