Dream Time by Drayton & The Dreamboats
Drayton & The Dreamboats are an Asheville, North Carolina-based band who specialize in dreamy vintage pop and social music. While firmly rooted in the tradition of small combo vocal jazz, their debut release "Dream Time" supplements the group's jazzy vintage sound with influences from doo-wop to western swing to psychedelic rock. The result is a diverse yet delightfully accessible album that offers something for dreamers of all stripes. In addition to several inspired renditions of swing-era standards, the band shows off their songwriting chops on "Fallen For You", "Here I Am With You", and "Someone So Perfect As You".
