In the fall of 2015 I submitted this original score for the TropFest/TropScore contest. The festival came under fire for the selected short feature's lack of sensitivity to violence against women and the short was replaced with another feature. I would argue that identifying the violence in no way condones it and in fact would make people who saw the short less likely to behave like the violent cretin in the short. But I guess whomever was in charge at TropFest at the time didn't think like that.

This is my entire original score for the contest featuring spanish guitar, timbale, cajon, heavy drums, and synthesizers. I also used the very versatile Voices of Passion plugin from EastWest to play the female vocal performance. It's so odd using a keyboard to play a voice! But fun.

My first instrumental album "Music for a Dark Film (That Hasn't Been Filmed Yet)" was released in 2005. In 2008 I garnered a commission for instrumental pieces which were considered for use in a California Highway Patrol recruitment ad and in 2009 I started developing instrumental scores for amateur short features and stock music tracks.
