No Solace by Destroyyyyer

Thank you to everyone that's supported me in the past 7 years of making music, and especially thank you to the someone I miss the most who loved and supported me when I needed it the most, this album is dedicated to you.

All of these beats were made in 2024. Half of these were made throughout the year but most of them were made in the past month where I've been maybe the worst I've ever felt, the past few months it's felt as if my life wasn't going anywhere at all, nothing that I've been trying to do was working. I didn't know what to do with myself, I've felt so stagnant for months. I've spent maybe the past 8 years making music and doing other creative outputs so that before I had turned 18 I would at least have a stream of income from what I do, it worked for a lot of people around me, but when that didn't happen, I didn't know what to do with myself, I had been the hardest I've ever been on myself, thinking everything I do is wrong and not good enough for anybody else, even with the people around me that were supporting me so much I couldn't put myself to think that people would like what I do. I couldn't push myself to further my education either, I wanted to make sure I got big off of something so that I wouldn't have to, but I can't stand this waiting game and I refuse to do humiliation rituals just to push myself out there. I've dealt with a lot of depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety throughout the past few years, but last month was genuinely the worst I ever had it, I didn't feel good enough for anyone. I named the album No Solace because a lot of the time I can never find comfort in a lot of what I go through, it's like my life is forever stuck in limbo of nothing happening just waiting to die. A lot of the time it feels as if music is my only form of solace. Half of this tape was made in the past month I've felt like this, I spent a lot of time looking through samples that stuck out and spoke to me in either a comforting way or something that held meaning to something in my life. Apart from some of the trap beats that I made earlier in the year, I tried to keep this project as comforting as I could (in the same way The Journey of Isolation was to me), because really this is all that keeps me sane at times. From track 15-20 I meant to use those beats for my vocal project, but because of my mood, time restraints, and just anxiety from how much I don't like a lot of my vocal music, I just cannot put myself to do it, no matter how much lyrics I write to try and cope with myself. Those last few songs mean the most to me, because it's like I'm trying to reach out to someone in the only way I think they would hear me. Even if it seems as if this is just a compilation project to dispose what I've been doing this year, a lot of these songs have turmoil behind them that my only way of me coping with was with making these songs (and writing to them even though I know I most likely won't use most of these). So while it may seem most of the time that music is my only form of solace, another is making sure I'm still pushing for the people around me, for the ones that still care for me, especially the person I miss the most. No matter how hard it is to not want to just throw everything away and isolate myself more than I already feel, I'd hate to give any form of sorriness or survivor's guilt to the ones that love me.
