The year coming to a close, a new page of life arriving hopefully. Remembering I had completed a year-long project in 2016, a Namesong for every day of the year. Most of the music still remains out of reach, but some arrives here and can be shared now. The titles here suggest both the date the piece was written and the compositional material of the piece. Even "Circle" is named after a practice I'd enjoyed where I would begin a piece and then travel through the circle of fifths. Sometimes a day would arrive to someone's name, as happens with "Violet and Red."
Please enjoy this essentially relaxing album -- compose: to create a calm.
