Holocaust Memorial from Reassembled by Lee Todd Lacks
On December 26, 1997, my family and I visited the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston. The following day, I wrote this poem. Designed by Stanley Saitowitz, the New England Holocaust Memorial consists of six, fifty-four-foot high towers. Each tower is constructed of twenty-two glass panels, and each panel has thousands of seven digit
numbers etched into it. The overwhelming collective impact of these numbers epitomizes the incalculable human toll of the Holocaust.
