Sporus by Distraxi
Much like Distraxi's 2021 EP "Castration Fantasy", "Sporus" draws from the myths and facts surrounding a historical eunuch: this time the story of a slave boy, Sporus, who was married off as Roman Emperor Nero's wife. "Sporus" uses this story as a vehicle to express inner pain and resentment.
These five tracks are sometimes explosive like a gushing wound, sometimes giddy and suppressed like a thick headache, with screams pressed into the feedback and static like a blunt knife thrust up through taut tarpaulin. Play loud.
