Focus by The Distance
2022 has been a really hectic year for us, with many of our gigs being long awaited postponements - some from as far back as 2020 when the world went haywire... as well as a whole new adventure in photography and video which has seen us dividing our time between music and film in a way that feels both exciting and a little scattershot.
This album marks the point at which all this stuff seems to be aligning in a neat way, and the blur that is 2022 comes to a potentially satisfying end, allowing us to get back to something approaching a clear way forward.
Oh, and there's a bit more bass guitar on this record, so if you have headphones, use them!

The Distance are an acoustic-ish duo based in Northern England which is a bit like Southern America.
They have so far sucessfully avoided having to spend any time at all outside among the baying crowds by carving out a humble living as musicians.
They dream of one day giving it all up to raise geese on the falkland islands, but the rents are prohibitive and their sat-nav is crap.
