Cyan Abandon by Dissolved
Cyan Abandon started out as a brief EP in early 2017, simply named Cyan which was recorded for a Label for a Concept series about Colour.The series ended up not happening and the EP returned to Dissolvedamberrooms. After sitting for a while, it started to expand. Through 2017 and into 2018, tracks were recorded and switched around, right up until the end when many of the additional tracks were taken off and replaced with new ones, leaving only the original tracks left over from the Cyan EP. What it turned into was a shifting, floating and sometimes glitched out beat infused journey that loops, hides and jumps in many directions.
Ultimately, the album is intended to be experienced in one sitting, outdoors in a field. Indoors, lying down with headphones in low light or maybe while travelling to unknown places. The album is capped off with a series of very special remixes from Nonima, Milieu, Weldroid, Dialed, Re-Arbeiten and Cyclea.
