Dishpan Fingers from Flicker & Swirl by Dishpan Fingers

When I wrote this song, I pictured being an odd child, who teachers might have shaken their head at, while carrying an empty coffee cup. I also thought this best summed up what I should call my music, its the most transparent thing I could imagine. Like most of my songs, they're a page torn out of my journal.

Introspective narratives tinged with melancholy undertones and melodic vocal hooks. An acoustically-driven performance with lo-fi leanings and a lyrical transparency. Dishpan Fingers laments the unburied ghosts and awkward moments, but stops to notice the important things, like supermarket specials, bluestone walls and factories ... also people.
