¨The Disboot heads asked me if I wanted to comment about the EP from Cauto ¨Despertar¨ (Awaken). They know that Cauto´s music captivates me. If your hoping to read a bad review then you might as well look elsewhere.
Far from labels, genres and styles the four compositions of ´Despertar´are simply elegant, sensitive and captivating.
Cauto´s music unites influences of all types is proving him to be an incredible force as a music composer capable of sending shivers down your spine.
This EP will take you from resonating far away landscapes all the way to the dancefloor. In my opinion, this music needs to be listened to in a unhurried environment.
Best of all, this will neither nor be best EP from Cauto. The best thing about Cauto is that his insultingly young age gives us a small glimpse into the long future of this magnificent composer. With a formal training in classical music, son of folk and popular catalan music artists, Cauto captivates us with his music, in disc form equally as much as in his live sets.
Ill be damn happy the day that Cauto will be able to tour around the world with a small orchestra.¨
