Aephoria (Album) by Dimmat

Dimmat returns to Mindspring with a new full-length album, Aephoria. Aephoria is the Greek word for sustainability. It denotes the continuous development of human society over many generations, that respects the earth’s limited natural resources. It not only takes into account the economic growth, but also the socio-cultural needs. Keeping that in mind, this release does come across as a highly cultivated affair. Deep ambient spaces are populated with glitchy inhabitants, pockets of growling bass, and groups of hypnotic synths. Drawing inspiration from his own district, many elements are recorded from the nature that surrounds his country home. Track 8, Just A Dream, was written for his wife. So, this body of work is deeply personal and heartfelt – which the listener keenly feels. The BPM range moves up and down, like the peaks and valleys of the hillsides the music channels; Dimmat has surely created some of his best art yet. We are excited for our listeners to experience this new sonic journey, from his soul to yours.
