Lady Liberty by Diane Patterson

This song is reaching up for the healing! I wrote this for my young friend many years ago, and now this past week as I was recording it in the studio, she died of cancer and heart failure. Alas! And so we have this song to face it: all of us have been hurt and have hurt, and all of us need to heal. My dear old friend Chloe Rose who inspired this song, the girl, my daughter’s age, who was violated and needed a healing song, this is always for you. Thanks to Mike Napolitano in New Orleans for this intimate sound of only my voice and guitar.
