The second solo album by Devin Townsend, released between Strapping Young Lad records, is regarded by fans as an all-time classic if not their outright favorite. Saving the more overtly aggressive material for SYL albums, Ocean Machine was Devin's "blue" record in more than one sense of the word, pitting melody and melancholy together brilliantly.
