hope by harper
Originally released in May 2022, 'hope' is the first EP from harper. Based in Leicester, UK, the group comprises of Matt Groves and Sadie Parry.
Taking its name from the Derbyshire village, 'hope' sees the duo combining intertwining vocals and patient slow-builds to capture a feeling they describe as a "countryside blur". Across the EP, harper take inspiration from the ever-shifting nature of the countryside, with tracks evoking the changing of the seasons, and the transformative effect of day and night on the landscape.
