HAL is a producer based in Detroit. Since 2013, genres such as Braindance or Drill & Bass have been his sound and rythms palette of choice.
In his latest release, HAL is a nod to simpler times.
Working with a tracker and a few classic synthesizer sounds, HAL is conceived as a collection of music pieces held together by a childish nature with no intent of making them all fit together.
Chopped breakbeats, x0x lines and old Atari sounds are the backbone for the majority of the compositions, blended by evolving analogue pads and rompler timbres.

Detroit Underground (est. 1997) is a multidisciplinary arts collective. Functioning primarily as a record label dedicated to electronic based experimental music and video installation.
