A fire burns in my chest
And a dangerous gleam is in my eye
To revenge myself upon those fell men
Who presume to take away this life - they must die!

As my footfalls carry me nearer to my foe
I see you once more
Accusing eyes beseeching me to turn aside from this course
I cannot hear the warning in your voice

The white hot rage that’s driving me
Has a vice grip on my resolve
This cannot be stopped

The man I once was has been consumed by the creature created
A being of searing white light
A scion of righteous devastation

I’ve come too far to turn away from this

In the aftermath
I look down at blood-soaked limbs
Pain wracks my body
And sorrow begins to tear my soul apart

I kneel in empty darkness
Drenched in despair
Overcome with loathing of my inner self

I see your face once more
See the difference in your eyes
I am no longer the one that you loved

The blood on these hands
The price that I’ve paid
Have my deeds destroyed what was left of my soul?

My world a hollow shell
Colours all gone
What is left for me to go on?
What have I done?
