The identity of Deptford is characterised by its proximity to the river Ravensbourne [commonly referred to as Deptford creek], and the thames.
This piece inspired by the industrial history of Deptford. The area served as the home of Deptford Dockyard for 356 years, producing ships for the royal navy. The numbers 3, 5 and 6 form its rhythmic metre.
