(notionally) from bruit jouissance by Delta Brainwave Society

This track, unlike the previous three, is a combination of audio tracks with randomized digital instrumentation. The midi bass line and drum track for this piece are combined with a synthesizer (an Electro Faustus EF102 Photo Theremin) audio track to create an analog digital hybrid. The synthesizer track is distinctly reminiscent of the sirens of the many emergency vehicles that are regularly heard from my apartment on their way to the hospital four blocks uptown. Together, the work presents a conflicted rhythmically complex but uncertain juxtaposition. At just over three minutes, this track is the shortest of the album but for all of that, contains many of the most sonically recognizable elements.
