Death Obsession by Dauðaþráhyggja

'Í dauðanum byrjum við. Engir guðir. Engir meistarar.'

This album has been my therapy, for dealing with so much:
the deaths and suicides of family, loved ones, friends
coping with losing almost everything in a house fire
the atrocities that I see, hear and read about every day
learning how to rebuild my mind and life after all those things.

Creating art, making noises, channeling all this into the instrumentation and collecting it all together in this first real and proper body of work as Dauðaþráhyggja has thoroughly changed my life and perspective of everything, so if you are reading this, I am nervous, but I am grateful. 'Death Obsession' now belongs to everyone.
