FUTUR.BALLA by DLZMKSBTS

i bought this app called 'koala' a few months ago. made a bunch of beats just sitting on my couch or at the laundromat. In the park or in the shower. I just kept chopping and phrasing until i had a few i actually liked. so here they are, raw right off the phone w/ a lil mixing/mastering off abelton to turn a few up.

the album title itself comes from how one of my favorite artist signed his work. Giacomo Balla was a painter, teacher and poet. He pretty much made up and pushed a style called 'futurism'. light movement and speed were his thing. that resonated with me because i like to attempt to make my music feel sound and move in a way that's accessible yet different and 'out there'... thank you for your time, energy and ears as always. I hope this tape reaches you in peace!

*I shot the cover at 6:30 am on july 20th. the day after i finished the album. i had no idea what cover or concept i wanted to use. So i took out my trusty iPhone after tripping on some shrooms the night before. i freaked it, played the tape with the cover on the desktop and BAM!oh i edited it on the snapseed app. everything was pretty much made off apps and a phone. you dont need a lot to make whatever you want. just a vision and execution!
