# About This Track: Fracture Point

Raw electricity courses through shattered circuits as "Fracture Point" erupts into existence. This is the moment when polite grieving transforms into something feral and necessary—when the dam finally breaks and fury floods through.

The industrial bass that opens the track wasn't planned; it happened when Melanie knocked over equipment during an emotional recording session. Rather than re-record, we captured that beautiful accident, that perfect sonic metaphor for control violently surrendered. The jagged synth patterns mirror the way anger fractures rational thought, creating a claustrophobic landscape where listeners feel walls closing in alongside escalating emotion.

Those string arpeggios? We recorded them conventionally, then physically damaged the tape—scraping, stretching, and cutting it before reintegrating the wounded sounds back into the digital session. Some wounds need to be made tangible.

"Fracture Point" explores anger not as destructive force but as catalyst—the necessary fire that burns away denial's comfortable numbness. When the chorus explodes with "At the fracture point I break," it's both confession and liberation. The glitchy production elements intentionally disorient, placing listeners inside a mind that's finally confronting unmistakable evidence of irreversible loss.

By the bridge, as instrumentation strips back to sparse electronics, that momentary clarity emerges—the strange power found when everything false has been demolished. The final chorus builds to our most sonically aggressive moment on the album, leaving listeners breathless before the outro reveals the first glimmer of daylight through destruction's aftermath.
