Dusk by David Birchall

This record was made at dusk on various nights during May & June 2018 at home in Stretford. It's recorded on 2 octava condensors via soundcard straight in the white macbook. The guitar is my Spanish one that I use mainly at home and for teaching; it does come out for gigs with other acoustic string instruments and when the room is small or reflective enough. The recording is done in my tiny home studio/office at the back of the house; for some of the takes the window is open. The recording itself is an attempt to capture some of the playing that I do just for me, at the end of the day... often nothing happens but sometimes there's moments in the playing where some gems emerge and I can hear the instrument and the room really sing. All the material is mine except the words on track 7 which are from the Beat Happening song 'Cast a Shadow'
