Manifest 31 by Dave Linnenbank

A good manifest — names, dates, locations — is part map, and history. It recalls where we have been, maybe how we felt. Retracing the way we got here.

"Manifest 31" is a story told with music — a film score with no accompanying film. Its path winds thru eight movements, each imbued with a place and orchestration and the feels. As many of us do, it centers on a return to "The Homestead", which is both familiar and alien, sending us elsewhere in the end.

We can never go home. Or rather we can, but it's not.

Creates music (and #Bitwig) in Berlin. Studied film scoring, so instrumentals and electronics are in the mix. But the songs got affected too, sporting short choruses and long moods. So let us bask in the afterglow of triumphs and defeats.
