A seasoned veteran of recording and performing, Dave Desmelik is a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist based in Brevard, NC. instrumental health is his 18th independent release and 3rd all instrumental album. Dave plays all the instruments including guitars, ukulele, bass, drums and more, but these songs are largely urged along by the sonance and voice of an old Kurzweil keyboard and a new OP1 synthesizer. The result might be described as ambient americana. These tunes are spacious and layered, thoughtful and improvised, mellow and steady, moody, pensive, and meditative. The music meanders naturally along an open and broad soundscape.
