Pasamoan Art Initiated are:
Aldo Ahmad Fithra (West Sumatra, Indonesia) is a multi-instrumentalist sound artist bending indonesian and western references in his investigations on improvisational and experimental music. He’s the founder of Pasamoan Art Initiated.
Dea Karina (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) explores sonic production using various tools such as radios, cigar-boxes, synthesizers and vocals manipulated live in layers of effects and loops.
Erik Emanuel Tarigan (North Sumatra, Indonesia) is a musician and composer based in Karo, North Sumatra. He’s currently specializing in Gendang Karo, Kulcapi and Surdam.
Fauzan Hamdy Marta (West Sumatra, Indonesia) is a traditional musician with a focus on percussions and cultural activist. He currently oversees the Intan Baludu Art Studio and and takes part of the Talang Barueh community activities. He plays an active role in studios and communities around the Lubuk Sikaping District.
Fikran Yandy Saputra (Jakarta, Indonesia) a.k.a Bujang Fikran is a flute specialist and artist. Bujang is also a West Sumatra traditional musician who works in the realm of experimental & world music with a Nusantara approach.
Rahul Jigyasu (New Delhi, India) is a musician, instruments maker and leads workshops for kids and professional musicians. He has a contemporary approach deeply rooted into spiritual tradition.
He studied Tabla under Shri Govind Chakrobarty and Pakhawaj and Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma. He spent one year in Indonesia learning the art of bamboo crafting in instrument making and he lived in Kyrgyzstan exploring central Asian folk music. He is the founder of the project Bamboo Mystics.
Yaumil Alfat (West Sumatra, Indonesia) is an activist of traditional arts, a Randai choreographer, and a wind instrument player. Yaumil is now active in the Talang Barueh art community and the Intan Baludu art studios.
