Philly Experimental Funk group formed in 2014. Self-described ‘basement blender funk,’ the Darla sound is a fusion of the Philly basement rock scene and 70s jazz/funk composition and improvisation. Darla is driven by a powerful saxophone duo and a jarring yet methodical rhythm section that has been called ‘Steely Dan with Dave Grohl on drums’.
