In a garden stood a cherry tree
With blossoms dizzy white
And a bleak wind wiped away all petals whirling, dancing, falling
And it felt like a freezing tide

With stiff fingers paralyzed by coldness I tried to touch the ground
But I couldn't trust my eyes
From behind the trunk all dressed in black a girl came through the snow
And I was hypnotized
I was mesmerized, her mouth, her lips, her sea black eyes
And her cheeks were all aglow

Under the cherry tree, the petals fall like snow
Under a cherry tree, with the cherry blossom girl

Then in her tiny voice she spoke to me
Her eyes were looking to the ground
And as she spoke there was a silver haze from her mouth
That suddenly quenched all sound:
"I never wanted to be sad
This is the life I always had
I never wanted oh this garden to be found but I know
That this time will linger on..."
