Ordi l'Alchimie by Dario Chillemi
Dario Chillemi's "Ordi l’Alchimie" is a unique collection of records created in the Ipogeo’s cave in Ortigia (Syracuse) during 2018.
Inspired by his street art performances, Dario explored the underground tunnels and began visiting regularly, allowing the psico-acoustic effects of his guitar to induce a trance-like state.
Samuel Lündstrom, talented violinist from Sweden, also joined him in this musical experimentation.
Dario sees his street performances as a means to gather subtle insights from the collective consciousness, creating a profound exchange between performer and audience.
The recordings were captured with a Rode iXY microphone, and include the deeply evocative lyrics of Ioanah Nechiti, a Romanian poet and researcher.
