I begged of this thing even welcomed the regret
Almost made it to the end til i needed to forget
I brushed against relief
Fumbled toward content
Made it halfway down the mountain
Til I wondered what it meant

Did it mean the rain was waiting did it mean the sun was lost
And as I was hesitating never thinking of the cost
Haven’t I been here before
Haven't I wander down this path
Didn’t I see this place somewhere

Like a heart upon your sleeve

And you want to lay your head down trying to stand up to some test

Will greet you with a smile
