On their new LP, Danny Valentine and the Meditations dig deep into their collective subconscious, the mix of multi-gender voices tell tall tales of hallucinogenic nights on the tiles (Halo of Ink), deep diving into the darkness of the mind surrounded by strange creatures (Numb), and profound calls to arms from the realms of isolation (Homine Domine). The album also reveals more intimate and direct themes, such as My Kingdom and In the Night, a Dancer, where light is shone on tender moments facing mortality or reflecting on the intensity of a past love diminished.
