LK99 from Belonging by Dani Treble

In July of 2023 a pre-print article was published on LK99, a material claimed by Korean authors to be a superconductor at room temperature. If this were to be confirmed, it would be a revolutionary development and a path towards what we consider SF technologies today. There was a lot of hype around the whole story, even local news portals ended up following up and the confirmation of the first attempts to reproduce the material were impatiently awaited. Unfortunately, those attempts were unsuccessful and the superconductivity properties were not confirmed... Even though it turned out to be a fluke, I still consider the title appropriate as it directly inspired the creation of this track.
