Guitar Dharma by Daniel Levy

Improvised acoustic solos, composed pieces, spontaneous duets, and first-take flights of fancy. The solo tracks are part of a game I play: have an idea, grab a mic, and record a first-and-only-take-must-keep-it improvisation. Joining me is virtuoso soloist Dana Scofidio playing electric on tracks 4 and 7, recorded live at the quintessential Greenwich Village music spot the Cornelia Street Cafe in 1998. Track 8 Bouree was recorded at Bair Trax on Ludlow Street in 1988. Everything else recorded on home studio gear, from four-track cassette machines to DATs to DAWs.
