Crab Nebula by Daniel Dor

In Crab Nebula EP Daniel steps into a piano/pop art/progressive realm,
far away from the everyday life, where time runs differently and there is less gravity.

Crab Nebula is also a supernova remnant residing 6500 Light years away from earth, in the constellation of Taurus, with a spin rate of 30 times per second,
which emits pulses of radiation. At the center of the nebula lies the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star.

Crab Nebula album was recorded in 2021 in 4 different countries:
Israel, Costa Rica, Germany and Turkey.

The basic tracks of piano and vocals were recorded in one live session at Kitcha studios Tel Aviv, no click was involved,
a few days before the third Israeli Covid Lockdown.
Packing up some recording equipment Daniel flew to Costa Rica together with Tal Markus the producer of the album
Arriving at Pacha mama echo village Costa Rica.
While the world was coming in and out of lockdowns they allowed themselves to imagine a different world.
The bass tracks, Bvocs and some additional tracks were recorded there.
Drums were recorded in the Famous gold watch studios berlin.
Strings for Phoenix on the rocks were recorded in Istanbul
and additional guitars back in Padnimi studios Tel Aviv.

Album art was created over a 2 months period of time by Ivonne Dippmann in Berlin.

Daniel Dor is a Jaffa based musician - singer songwriter.
On the verge of his second album release, he is building a live set based on Piano, keyboards and guitars.
Taking the songwriting into instrumental, psychedelic and sometimes dream pop realms.
