West EP by Daniel Casares
West was conceived after Daniel rediscovered Sun Ra's vast catalogue. He was completely amazed by the Arkestra's music and was inspired to hit the studio. The EP contains 5 original compositions in the jazz idiom featuring the electric guitar and energetic rhythm section performances. Conceptually, the outing is inspired by several locations; sonically, it borrows from a rich tradition of North American music.

Daniel Casares is a jazz guitarist, composer, and producer from A Coruña, Spain. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2018. Daniel released the EP "Villa Bonita" in September 2022 on HOUT Records. His first album for the same label "From a Cabin in the Woods" came out in October 2023. The artist released the album "1971" in 2025, revisiting early jazz fusion with a futuristic spin.
