Snapshots was conceived during a one-month period, making a track every couple days. Soaring digital sax and quirky yet emotional soundscapes are the main elements in the release, which leans towards experimental jazztronica or jazzy IDM.
The record reads as a beat tape more than as a conceptual project, as the artist attempted to capture the mood of each day through playful compositions. The tracks focus on steady beats and a fearless digital saxophone that delivers intense solos across the 13 tracks. The album remains quite experimental, exploring different sonorities on each track with a minimalistic approach.

Daniel Casares is a jazz guitarist, composer, and producer from A Coruña, Spain. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2018. Daniel released the EP "Villa Bonita" in September 2022 on HOUT Records. His first album for the same label "From a Cabin in the Woods" came out in October 2023. The artist released the album "1971" in 2025, revisiting early jazz fusion with a futuristic spin.
