I'm not welcome where I'm from; I call this home
People say I don't belong; well are they wrong?
Why would I live in a place renowned for hate?
I'm not safe here and it gets worse every day

Mother and daughter at the store; and I walk in
Pull your kid and turn away to hide my face
I'm not doing any harm; I'm just here for food
Just for my looks I've become ostracized

Mormon cults for miles and miles; leave them behind
I know what they really hide behind those smiles
Systemic hate call it divine; it's their whole lives
You only see the death trap once you step outside

Politicians making laws; only causing harm
Banning healthcare in absolutes; now you're a mom
We aren't getting any say; just trust the news
Cash blocks out our noise but it's not fireproof

Let's go burn down city hall; lock the pigs inside
If they make our lives a crime we've gotta do more crime
They've got guns I've got this knife; so I guess I'll hide
I'll leave everything if it saves my life

This place has my everything; my family
Friends, neighbors, my way of life; will I say goodbye?
