Her shiny exoskeleton protects her from the ghosts
The creatures she consumes are the ones who love her most
And when she joins a colony the warriors rejoice
She leads in the destruction when she kicks it with the boys
But mostly she’s a loner ‘cause she hates to share her food
What’s mine is mine, including time, and there’s none here for you
And once a year she’ll venture out and forage just for pleasure
But she’ll retreat before you see beneath her sacred armor
She thrives in squalid corners, wrapped in the wings of a butterfly of night
