"Harris P Andrews is a singular artist and when you hear his music, you know it's him and no one else. He played in one of the finest bands to ever form out of Wisconsin-probably anywhere: The Goodnight Loving. They incapsulate this dreamy-euphoria of rural Wisconsin; generating a sound that's grounded in the geographical region in a beautiful way. When you listen to this album, you can identify his mark on The Goodnight Loving and really, everything he's been involved in. Simultaneously getting lost in the artwork takes you to his laboratory where he makes this stuff; virtually a museum of percussive gadgets- flanked in colorful lights and friendly shadows. Keyboards, congas, and drum machines. This album is grounded in the idiom of dub music but really, it reaches beyond that into a grainy, technicolor-bespectacled fantasy."
DUB ISH was recorded at home by Andy Harris in June of 2018 during a period of obsessively listening to African Head Charge, Dub Syndicate, and other Adrian Sherwood productions.
