You and I have weathered most everything

Burned in cold shivered in heat

Love birds are good at landing on two feet

Two lovebirds up in the sky

Blue as a Robin's egg clear as the ocean wide

Sun come down and the wind come up

That's where you and I have met, what luck

Two lovebirds whistling' their tune

Crow come along and say, "That ain't nothin' new"

They turn to crow and say, "That may be true,

But I'd rather sing what's in my heart than try to please you."
