The ups and downs of the Pandemic!

It was family gathering time again, but Covid had other plans. We then tried to move things online and I was tasked to come up with a group activity for my extended family.

I knew that my family (or at least most of them) were interested in music, so I though I would try my hand at bringing a recording together. As you can hear, some of the members were quite young, so I decided to open the submissions to include sounds in an attempt to create a sound collage. The task was to encapsulate the season, the special occasion, with a sound that spoke to each individual in some way.

As most of the family are not professional musicians (and neither am I by the way) most of the recordings were captured by cell-phone. Since I am a rank amateur at best, I tried my best to use what was given to me to create something of worth. I do hope that at least some family members will listen again in the future and reminiscence about the time when that generation was younger and that tough times do not last forever.
