The Buzz by Jason Irvin

In 2004, I did a handful of short albums - EPs even - for crapart's Album-a-Day project. The goal is to write and complete an 20-minute album within a 24-hour period. As a noise artist, this was quite easy to do, so I decided to challenge myself. I only used Cool Edit and a handful of samples to create this album. Furthermore, I also completed it on the "spring forward" day of daylight savings for that year - only allowing myself 23 hours.

Ryan Reno had warned me that these albums were disappearing off Lulu.com, which had stopped hosting music files, so I went and rescued the 3 albums hosted there and am currently bringing the over to bandcamp for your aural perusal.

I can't say that I'm not impressed with myself, because I didn't particularly like this album after I had completed it. That said, time has treated it well and I am pleased.

As for the song titles, I decided to arbitrarily name them after songs from a music compilation that had been running on TV at the time. They have nothing to do with their famous counterparts - or do they?
