Swamp Cake by Creature from Dell Pond
march 1st, 2014 marks the two year anniversary of the first creature rehearsal. when we started this band, noah and nolan were my best friends. two years later, they are still that; my best friends, and i just so happen to make music i love with them.
the past two years have involved love triangles, tours, bananas, double dates, go exist, snowstorms, the internet, a hurricane, the chancellor of umass crashing one of our dell shows, a young filipino man, daily doses of steroids, cold nights warmed by xanax sleeping bags, and exactly one fight between noah and i. we've watched ourselves mature (sort of) and graduate (mostly).
now, nolan lives with his cousin, i live with a trumpeter, and noah lives with my younger brother (that's not a joke). but the one thing that will never change is how much i love these two men. because at the end of the day, i am making music with my best friends. we just happen to make music that we love together.
