i have less resentment
i don't know where it went
and now i'm figuring out if i should vent
tryna write a story, and see where it ends
but i don't think, right now, i can
so i'll leave it alone for a while
try to crack a smile
do things i never knew i could do
i think it's time
to feel brand new

to be honest, i've been afraid to write after the storm
emotional vulnerability, was always my norm
i would be honest in how i'm feeling
for once in my life
finally i'm doing fine

no need to hold onto resentment
because i don't know why held it
so close to my chest

you can hold onto the resentment
try to build it and mend it
but i'll keep moving on
not caring for you
