In the autumn of 2023, David McGuinness of Concerto Caledonia and Ursula Leveaux, principal bassoonist with the Academy of Ancient Music and the Nash Ensemble, both found themselves in Glasgow with hours to spare on Sunday afternoons. So they started meeting to play and listen to one another, just to see what would happen. The result is this album of meditative, witty and exquisite improvisations, along with a tune by their great friend and tunesmith Karen Tweed.
