Three things about Rhode Island: it is the smallest U.S. state by far, has an amazing freak-out scene for its size and it is also home to Judge Frank Caprio (the TV traffic court judge who'll let you off if you've got a kid in tow).

There's also Jordan Root, aka Snap Dragon.

Their album for Complex Holiday, "Flux", is a fluid and beautifully put together collection of joyful, maximalist tones; a bouncy castle in the shape of a great big modular synth.
