Burden will appear on my upcoming album Holy Teachings of Self Defeat, which releases on 11/5/16. The mixing may change a little cause I'm a fucking twat.
This is a song about how Christianity made me fear that God and my family hated me for being gay/trans as a kid, so I hid it from them and myself for as long as I could.
All I wanted was to start over somewhere with a new name and a new face, but I had to accept the reality that even there, someone would find me out and put me right back into the position I was in before.
I eventually learned to accept that this was my life and I can't change the past, so I might as well keep pushing forward through all the physical and emotional pain towards making myself feel happy.
