Mélanger Le Miel steps onto Club Elevate with his debut EP, marking the first instalment of our summer series of music.
The Swiss-born and now Naarm-based, musician builds this project around his roots as a pianist.
‘Solar Fizz’ kicks it off with a plucky, warm embrace of piano-riffs and driving reese basslines, encapsulating the overarching energy of the EP.
The daytime-leaning grooves and the ethereal vocals from Alice Freeman are showcased in’ Nightfall’, inspired by those sun-kissed moments on outdoor festival dance floors.
The EP also pulls confidently into club territory with 2 killer remixes. The first from INTERPOL, who conjures a progressive, club-focused interpretation of ‘Nightfall’.
The second from Marli, who returns to the label to formulate a ‘Late Night Dub’ rework of 'Nightfall', showcasing her Detroit-inspired gritty textures - perfect for mischief hour.
Club Elevate would like to acknowledge that all tracks were produced & released on stolen land in Naarm, Australia on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri & Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. The artists and Club Elevate pay respect to their elders past, and present.
